Well ….I’m trying this again. I started a blog about a year and a half ago….and quit adding posts to it about four months later. I’m not much of a writer (as you can probably see!…and please any English teachers out there…forgive me! I was a math teacher…and not a good writer!
So here goes with my first entry. Hopefully this attempt at blogging will have much better success!
I attended an Alan November session today at his Building Learning Communities’ Conference. One idea that Alan shared with us today that I had found intriguing was the idea of setting up a distribution list on your cell phone and sending voice mails to each of your student cell phones. What a concept to send reminders of tests, small bites of information, etc to the students. I had heard of using cell phones in education, but did not quickly see any possible uses for this venue. I am looking forward to other ideas as to how cell phones could be used in the classroom.
